We’ve all seen the odd bit of footage from Suicide Squad – Margot Robbie's character Harley Quinn was the costume of choice last Halloween – but the first official trailer from Warner Bros has finally landed.

It may still be eight months (yes you read that right, EIGHT MONTHS) until the film hits the big screen, but already the internet is buzzing with excitement to meet the gang. Jared Leto, Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Ben Affleck and Cara Delevigne are just a few of the big names that make up the A-list cast.

The story follows a gang of super-villains recruited as a special government task force to carry out black ops missions. Of course, they all range from barking mad to completely insane, and are only helping the government in exchange for clemency on previous convictions.

The “Suicide Squad” brings together some of DC Comics’ most famous antiheros, including Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), the Joker (Jared Leto) and Deadshot (Will Smith).

Although this is the first “Official Trailer”, back in July last year, Warner Bros released a “first look” clip on YouTube lasting over 3 minutes.

By the looks of things, we can expect a lot of fight scenes and plenty of one-liners.
