EXCLUSIVE: Sebastian Ingrosso to play in Dubai
Ex Swedish House Mafia DJ Sebastian Ingrosso is set to play in Dubai next month, ShortList can exclusively reveal. The 32-year-old is confirmed for Provocateur on February 4.
It’s been three years since Sebastian Ingrosso returned from his final tour with Swedish House Mafia, the group who propelled him to worldwide fame. But Ingrosso hasn’t slowed down since, continuing to regularly collaborate with Axwell and lead a jetset lifestyle.
Although Swedish House Mafia hits such as “Don’t You Worry Child” and “Save the World” brought him the kind of mainstream crossover fame that the likes of David Guetta and Calvin Harris enjoy, since the split he’s continued to champion progressive house and headline the world’s biggest festivals.
His 2013 single “Reload” with Tommy Trash and John Martin has that catchy SHM bridge and chorus, helping it reach number one on the UK Dance Chart.
More recently he’s been globe-hopping with Axwell, as the pair make the most of their stateside fame by collaborating with A-list artists and playing at superclubs. As part of this double-act, he currently sits at a comfortable 17th position on DJ Mag’s Top 100 Poll, keeping his place at the forefront of the electronic music scene.
Axwell spoke to ShortList while here for a gig at the same club in November last year, saying “When Seb (Ingrosso) and I work together we have a common goal and we are keeping our live shows in mind. It has to reflect both our personalities.”
Much like Axwell’s Provocateur set, you can expect Ingrosso to break free from the house music niche he’s carved himself as part of various groups, and entertain the crowd with his solo work.
Now all we need is Steve Angello to come over and we’ve got a hat-trick.
