Ocean’s 8 has finally made its way to the big screen. As has Ant-Man and the Wasp and The First Purge. Grab some popcorn and get ready to watch some of the year’s biggest blockbusters.

Ocean’s 8

The film follows Debbie Ocean (Sandra Bullock), the younger sister of Danny Ocean, the protagonist from the previous movies. Fresh out of prison, Debbie wastes no time in getting back into the crime game by planning one last heist of epic proportions. The target? The Toussaint, a $150 million Cartier necklace, which will be present at the annual Met Gala in Manhattan, New York. She soon enlists the help of her former partner in crime, Lou (Cate Blanchett) and puts together a ragtag crew to aid her quest for bagging the prize. In it’s ranks are tech whizz Nine Ball (Rihanna), disgraced fashion designer Rose (Helena Bonham Carter) and jewellery maker Amita (Mindy Kaling). It’s the chemistry between the band of sisters that carries the movie superbly – a cast selection that’s great and doesn’t contain a weak link.

Ant-Man and the Wasp

Notably absent from the recent Avengers: Infinity War, this sequel sees Ant-Man battle a new threat alongside Wasp in this shape-shifting superhero flick.

Mary Shelly

Elle Fanning stars in this biopic about the famous author’s life. It follows her relationship with Percy Bysshe Shelley and how it inspired her to write Frankenstein.

The First Purge

UAE Cinemas- The First Purge

An origins story about the night when anything is legal, which includes murder. Turns out that what is dressed as a social experiment is far more sinister.
