Rain expected to hit the UAE on Tuesday
Those of you who ventured out to RedFest DXB at the weekend will know that it’s been pretty cold after dark over the last few days. According to the latest weather report by the UAE’s National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) it does seem like it’s going to get a bit warmer, but rain is on its way too.
We can expect temperatures to rise slightly on Monday February 15, with partly cloudy weather and winds making it feel a few degrees colder. During the day it could reach 23 degrees Celsius, while evening will bring temperatures as low as 15C.
It looks like Tuesday February 16 will also see a scattering of clouds, but instead of clearing later in the day, we’ll see rain across parts of the UAE. An increase in temperature means that it is likely to be humid at night and early morning.
The NCMS report says: “Partly cloudy to cloudy with scattered rain at times over some areas. A slight increase in temperature, a light to Moderate winds. freshening at times over the sea by afternoon Sea will be slight to moderate becoming rough at times in the Arabian Gulf, and Oman Sea. The relative humidity will increase during night and early morning times over most of the areas, with a probability of fog/mist formation over scattered areas.”
NCMS have not yet released a report showing how things look after Tuesday, but longer range forecasts suggest that we’ll have rain on Wednesday too. BBC Weather predicts daytime rain on Wednesday February 17 with dark clouds in the afternoon. Temperatures are expected to reach highs of 24C and lows of 18C.
The good news is that it looks as though the skies will clear in time for the weekend, although it won’t get much warmer.
