Who sees themselves as the next best thing in community football?

The local organising committee for the AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019 (rolls off the tongue, doesn't it?) are calling on you and your best amateur football mates to play for the pride of a country in a replica tournament in January.

This seven-a-side tournament offers you the chance to represent one of the 24 competing Asian nations (bonus points if you can name them all).

Even better, each team will be kitted out in the official colours of their home nation, with complimentary kits provided by the tournament's organisers.

Get in quick, registration is open to anyone over the age of 18 right now. The tournament will consist of 25-minute matches for squads of 15 players and will take place across the four Asian Cup host cities - Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Al Ain, Sharjah.

The Asian Community Cup will take place on weekends in the build-up to the tournament before concluding in a fitting finale during the AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019 with the first round of fixtures taking place in October and November.

The 24-nation AFC Asian Cup - featuring the cream of the continent's teams such as Japan, South Korea and defending champions Australia - will be hosted in the UAE for the first time in 23 years, in January.
