“All I want for Christmas” is another headline act to be announced for Emirates Airline Dubai Jazz Festival… Yep, you guessed it, Mariah Carey will be bringing her superhuman vocal range to the festival at Dubai Media City Amphitheatre on February 23. She will play the second night of the event, which takes place from February 22 until 24, 2017, joining Enrique Iglesias on the line-up.

Mariah is known to be a bit of a diva, but as the best-selling female artist of all time, she’s certainly earned her stripes. She’s sold more than 220 million records with 18 number one singles (that’s more than any solo artist in history).

Some of her most famous singles include “Always Be My Baby”, “Hero”, “Touch My Body” and “We Belong Together”, which have made her distinctive voice and five-octave vocal range famous.

“It is such an honour to have one of the world’s most remarkable music icons, Mariah Carey, perform on the stage of Dubai Jazz Festival. We aim to provide something unique and memorable for our fans, old and new. We also wish to attract more festival goers even beyond the Middle East to celebrate music together on our 15th anniversary,” says Anthony Younes, CEO of Chillout Productions, Founders and Organisers of the Dubai Jazz Festival.

Let’s hope that they can meet all her dressing room needs…

Mriah is joined on the line-up by Enrique Iglesias, who will be the main performance of the third day of the festival, on February 24. Enrique’s best-selling Latin sounds will close the event, with hits such as “Do You Know” and “Tonight”. Over the years he’s sold more than 130 million albums worldwide, across ten studio albums and two greatest hits compilations.

There are more acts still to be announced –since the festival launched in 2003 previous names on the bill have include James Morrison, Jason Mraz, Deep Purple and The Script, so we can expect some big names to be announced soon.
