Enrique Iglesias to headline Dubai Jazz Festival
Enrique Iglesias has just been confirmed as a headliner for Emirates Airline Dubai Jazz Festival 2017. The “Hero” singer will be the main performance of the third day of the festival, on February 24.
This is the festival’s 15th anniversary, and it will take place from February 22 to 24 at Media City Amphitheatre. Enrique’s best-selling Latin sounds will close the event, with hits such as “Do You Know” and “Tonight”. Over the years he’s sold more than 130 million albums worldwide, across ten studio albums and two greatest hits compilations.
“Enrique Iglesias is without a doubt the biggest Latin recording artist in music history. Being a charismatic singer, his appeal to fans of all ages makes him a perfect fit for our 15th anniversary celebration. Last year’s edition proved to be one of the greatest in our history. This year, we are working hard to surpass audience’s expectations and are eager to announce the rest of the talents in the coming weeks,” shared Anthony Younes, CEO of Chillout Productions, Founders and Organisers of the Dubai Jazz Festival.
Enrique was one of the headliners for the Yasalam after-race concerts at last year’s Abu Dhabi Formula One. On his last visit he told The National, “The fans in the UAE are so passionate and truly make you feel welcome.”
There are more acts still to be announced –since the festival launched in 2003 previous names on the bill have include James Morrison, Jason Mraz, Deep Purple and The Script, so we can expect some big names to be announced soon.
