The final act of the Emirates Airline Dubai Jazz Festival has just been announced and, the artist tasked with closing the 16th edition of the music extravaganza is *drum roll please* Ricky Martin.

The 45-year-old Livin' la vida loca singer will be performing live at the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre on Friday, February 23.

Martin closes the three day festival’s stellar line-up which will see Grammy award-winning artist John Legend perform on Thursday, February 22 and famed British band, Duran Duran perform on Wednesday, February 21.

Speaking on the exciting news Anthony Younes, the founder and CEO of Chillout Productions said: “His first ever performance in Dubai, and at the Emirates Airline Dubai Jazz Festival, will amaze the audience and drive them into a frenzy.

We felt from last year that the region, especially our Dubai audience, were thrilled with Latino shows and Ricky is not only a singer, he is a great performer who sells big arenas worldwide. Expect him to deliver sheer musical perfection, as he owns the stage on February 23.”

Right, let’s talk ticket prices… early bird promo tickets will be available from 12pm today (December 14) and will be available until Saturday, December 16 (to get your hands a pair, click here). After that, it’s AED375 for regular tickets, AED695 for access to the golden circle, AED895 for the fan pit and AED1,350 for VIP.
