Kendrick Lamar to play Abu Dhabi F1 After-Race Concert
Kendrick Lamar has just been added to the already impressive Yasalam After-Race Concert lineup! The 30-year-old rapper will be performing at the du Arena on Friday, November 24.
The “Humble” singer is the final act of the four day music bonanza that already features P!nk, Scottish DJ Calvin Harris and British rockers Mumford & Sons.
Tickets to Yasalam’s After-Race Concerts start from AED995 and includes access to Thursday Pit Lane Walk, all four days of racing as well as all four Yasalam After-Race Concerts. We recommend you get tickets now, because they’re selling out fast.
Right, now that we know who the last act is, let’s get a bit more familiar with each of them.
Calvin Harris is opening the concerts with a gig on Thursday, November 23. The 33-year-old, who is better-known as Adam Wiles to people in his hometown of Dumfries, is dominating the charts at the moment. It seems like every year he drops an anthem-of-the-summer, with tracks like “My Way”, “This Is What You Came For”, “How Deep Is Your Love” and “Summer” gaining him serious radio-play over the last few years. The concert comes at a great time for Harris, who dropped his latest album of floor-fillers, Funk Wav Bounces Vol 1, earlier this year.
The American award-winning rapper is next on the bill. Fans can expect to hear his mega-tracks like “Loyalty”, “DNA”, “Money Trees” and “Humble”. With seven Grammy’s under his belt, we can only imagine that his performance will be one big party. But don’t take our word for it, we previously asked the man himself what we can expect from him if he were to ever perform in the region and, this is what he said: “Energy, man, it’s about the kids just having fun. If you go in with that mindset of just having fun and communicating with the crowd it’s always the same – one big party, that’s what happens.”
Mumford & Sons
The British rockers will be performing on Saturday, November 25. Die-hard fans can expect to hear songs like “Awake My Soul”, “I Will Wait” and “Lovers Eyes”. We’re particularly excited to see how the crowd reacts to their mega-track “Little Lion Man”.
The 38-year-old singer will close the concerts on Sunday, November 26. And, given her impressive 20 year career and global reach, the “Try” singer will most definitely “Get The Party Started”. Aside from her long list of classics, die-hard fans can expect to her a number of her newer tracks which includes “Waterfall” (ft Sia), and “What About Us”.
