Football fans, we’ve got some news. It looks like du might not be airing the FIFA World Cup after all. Well, not until beIN Sports grants it access to its channels.

Currently all du subscribers attempting to tune in to any beIN Sports channel are being met with a blue screen and an apology for the restricted service.

According to du’s website, the limited access is only temporary.

Du officials have taken to social media to ensure all existing subscribers that they will not be charged for period where the access is not available.

If you're unwilling to wait, you'd be happy to note that Etisalat has announced that it will be airing the FIFA World Cup.

For AED555, customers will be granted access to a standalone package.

Once purchased, the tournament will be available on channel 777.
